Titleist AVX Golf Ball
First Released in 2018 and then upgraded in 2020 the Titleist AVX golf ball is ideal for golfers with high spin rates or who would like to gain a lower trajectory. The AVX is engineered to produce low spin in the long game and high spin in the short game.
The Titleist AVX golf ball would be categorised as a premium golf ball positioned next to the Pro V1 and Pro V1x. It would not be competing against these golf balls but more of an alternative, as the name AVX states “Alternative to the Pro V1 and Pro V1x.

Titleist AVX 2018
The main reason for the development of the first generation AVX was to offer a premium golf ball that delivered on low spin, low trajectory, and the softest ball. This is done by Titleist manufacturing a low compression and high speedcore, alongside a new high flex casing layer. The cover is main from a urethane elastomer cover that has been formulated to offer a soft feel and great durability.

Titleist AVX 2020
The 2020 Titleist AVX is not dramatically different from the 2018 Titleist AVX, with the main difference being a larger core. This means the outer casing layer and the cover is thinner than the older model to compensate for the larger core. The aim was still to create a low flying and soft premium golf ball.
The larger core helps generate a more ball speed while the thinner casing layer and thinner cover helps with spin around the greens. The ball still maintains its great durability with a thinner cover.
