What golf balls are best for distance?

The PGA Championship takes place this week and it’s going to be packed full of long drives, unbelievable irons, tricky putts, and a big silver cup! We can’t wait.

Some of the hottest names in golf are in the field this week with Scottie Scheffler in pole position with the bookmakers at 11/1. John Rahm (12/1) is a close second favourite followed by McIlroy and Justin Thomas priced at 14/1. Max Homa looks like a strong contender this week after his recent tour victory at the Wells Fargo Championship, which saw him win the event for the second year on the bounce.

" The all-anticipated Tiger Woods makes his second major appearance since his return at The Masters this year "

The all-anticipated Tiger Woods makes his second major appearance since his return at The Masters this year where he played a very solid game and made the cut to a respectable 47th place finish. Woods claimed he is excited for the week ahead and is “a lot stronger” since The Masters in April, who could ever rule him out? Tiger’s making his 21st appearance in the PGA Championship, will he be able to take home his 5th and go level with Hagen and Nicklaus?

One thing we can guarantee this week is some huge drives from the pros who seem to be hitting it even further each day. Only one can dream about ripping a drive (in the right direction) and landing it 325+ yards onto the fairway. So, what can we do to squeeze those extra yards out of our shots?

This week at MailOrderGolf were focusing on distance balls and how you can rip your drive like the pros!

Extra distance is one aspect of golf we all want to improve and distance balls can help you do that. If you’re new to golf or just starting out, distance balls are great with their two-piece design and (usual) low-cost. While the more premium tour-calibre ball models take spin, control and feel into consideration, us amateurs want distance (and at a nice price).

There are many distance balls out on the market, but which do we choose from?
